What is ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 about?

Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams, hinted that the upcoming season will be more horror-centred, with each episode designed to feel like a mini-movie. Ortega also teased that season two will feature more action-packed and memorable scenes.

Who will be returning, and who is absent for Wednesday Season 2?

Ortega will continue to lead Wednesday, and she will also serve as an executive producer for the new season. Returning cast members include Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), and Victor Dorobantu (Thing).

Additionally, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán will return as Morticia and Gomez Addams, respectively, with Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Deputy Ritchie Santiago. Jamie McShane will reprise his role as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, and Fred Armisen will return as Uncle Fester in guest-starring roles.

Unfortunately, Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe in Season 1, will be absent for the upcoming season due to allegations pointed at him, which he denies.

Who is joining Wednesday, Season 2?

Season two introduced several new characters, including Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Billie Piper as Capri, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn. 

Other newcomers include Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo.

Expected release date?

No official release date has been announced for season two. People are guessing it’s likely that the new season will premiere in 2025.
