Before he becomes the internet’s next great obsession, consider this your introduction.
Every generation gets its leading man. You may not know his name just yet—but you will. Belmont Cameli is the kind of talent that creeps up on you slowly, then all at once. At 28, the Illinois-born actor has already lived several lives: star athlete, aspiring businessman, accidental hero and now, Hollywood’s most exciting new leading man. Pull up a chair. This one’s worth knowing. With his star-making turn in Prime Video’s Off Campus just around the corner, consider this your essential guide to the man the whole world is about to fall in love with.
Here are fun facts about Belmont Cameli from “Off Campus”:

He is a Pisces
He was born on 28 February 1998—he’s 28-years-old at the moment.
He’s from Illinois
Born and raised in Naperville, Illinois, Cameli grew up far from the glare of Hollywood.
He loves nature
Away from the sets and the screen tests, Cameli retreats to the wild. His Instagram tells the story plainly: a man most at peace when surrounded by open skies, forest trails and the sound of waterfalls. For him, nature isn’t a hobby—it’s a reset, a grounding ritual.

He attended the University of Illinois
In a Flaunt interview, he revealed that he studied business in college before dropping out to follow his passion for acting.
He’s a Chicago Blackhawks fan
A Chicago boy through and through, Cameli is a die-hard fan.

He’s an organ donor
Long before Hollywood came calling, Cameli was already playing hero in real life—donating a kidney in 2018 to a stranger who had waited years for a second chance.
He loves sports
A natural athlete from the start, Cameli spent his high school years on the football field and the wrestling mat. These days, he’s traded those for volleyball courts and ice rinks—the latter is likely no coincidence given his starring role in Off Campus, Prime Video’s hockey romance drama that’s put him squarely on everyone’s radar.
He will be Garrett Graham in Prime Video’s “Off Campus” series
Come May 2026, Belmont Cameli will be the leading role—the charming, impossibly magnetic hockey captain—in Elle Kennedy’s book adaptation of her hockey romance series of the same title. The show follows an elite ice hockey team at Briar University and the women in their lives as they navigate love, heartbreak and self-discovery. Season 1 draws on the first book, The Deal, in which Garrett—Briar U’s star centre—enters into a tutoring arrangement with Hannah Wells, a music major with a complicated past, that quickly evolves into something neither of them saw coming.
He was first seen in the TV show “Empire”
He made his screen debut in 2018 on Empire—his character credited as nothing more than “Cute Guy.” Which is fair. But Cameli had bigger plans. Saved by the Bell was his first rise to fame as an actor, playing the legacy son of a beloved original cast member. Comedy and romance carried him through Along for the Ride on Netflix, before the dramatic roles came knocking—a crime drama with Robert De Niro in The Alto Knights, and a horror film alongside Odessa A’zion and Maia Mitchell in Until Dawn.
