Come May 2026, Belmont Cameli will be the leading role—the charming, impossibly magnetic hockey captain—in Elle Kennedy’s book adaptation of her hockey romance series of the same title. The show follows an elite ice hockey team at Briar University and the women in their lives as they navigate love, heartbreak and self-discovery. Season 1 draws on the first book, The Deal, in which Garrett—Briar U’s star centre—enters into a tutoring arrangement with Hannah Wells, a music major with a complicated past, that quickly evolves into something neither of them saw coming.
He was first seen in the TV show “Empire”
He made his screen debut in 2018 on Empire—his character credited as nothing more than “Cute Guy.” Which is fair. But Cameli had bigger plans.
