Every year on 22 April, we celebrate the annual Earth Day in support of global environmental protection. Today, we are seeing a hopeful growth in environmental awareness. This significant day is not only celebrated by individuals, but many brands have taken their own initiative to contribute to a better and greener Earth.

Personally, I am a loyal fan of CASETiFY. Apart from its cute designs and generous selections, each of their accessories provides an added shield to my gadgets. The brand has consistently kept its promise to protect our tech in style. So, upon discovering their sustainability pledge, I was not surprised to find that the brand truly does walk the talk.

The Re/CASETiFY collective up-cycling programme: Upcyling old phone cases into new ones.

In line with their journey towards a sustainable future, CASETiFY is dedicated to producing high-quality products with circularity and style in mind. Moreover, the program allows us, the consumers, to take part in the initiative. This upcycling programme encourages us to recycle your old phone cases.

With smartphone rapid releases and upgrades, I know for a fact you have a lot of old phone cases collecting dust at home. Regardless of the brand, you can recycle them with Re/CASETiFY. These cases will be shredded and processed before being transformed into recycled plastics used to make new accessories by the brand.

From phone and AirPod cases to laptop accessories, you won’t be able to tell that they are made out of recycled materials. If you’re interested, you can head to any physical CASETiFY stores and leave them in the Re/CASTETiFY bins. Alternatively, you can mail the phone cases!

Altogether, this program provides individuals with an easier means towards minimising plastic waste. The global Re/CASETiFY collective upcycling programme is estimated to keep out over 84,000kg worth of plastics in landfills. On top of that, the brand donates USD$1 to the partners of EARTHDAY.ORG for every sustainable product sold. If that’s not impressive enough, they have also contributed to the planting of 463,406 trees as of today.
