OneSixFive lounge recently joined forces with Mizukami Collective to create seven new cocktails and three zero-proof drinks that are fitted for the lounge. Helmed by Shawn Chong, the founder of Mizukami Collective, this new collaboration puts a spotlight on local ingredients with a twist.
Inspired by InterContinental USA’s Wordly Classics Cocktails Programme developed by master mixologist and mentor, Angus Winchester, Shawn has created the menu based on the various InterContinental properties in Asia including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Each cocktail has reminiscent of a memory or a thought that Chong associated with each country during his visits. The cocktail and the zero-proof menu serve as a continuous journey of experiencing each country one sip at a time.
The menu sees the likes of Plush Tart (Macau), a sangria-based drink with sour candied fruit and hints of vanilla-caramel; Gentle Fields (Bangkok), a sake-based cocktail made with mango, jasmine tea, ginger, lime, and floral notes; and Sensual Retreat (Phuket), a vodka-infused concoction mixed with Bianco Vermouth, soft peach, cranberry, orange, and lemon.
If those don’t float your boat, the cocktail menu also serves a rum-based cocktail that’s perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a cold-brew infused cocktail that’s bitter, but yet refreshing and cooling. They even have a tequila cocktail that’s fruity, refreshing and smooth making it the perfect pre-drink for your next TGIF.
Their zero-proof options are also fiery with pops of flavours that are fit for any occasion. We particularly love their sophisticated version of ice lemon tea known as the Gimless Earl (Singapore) that’s been infused with early grey tea, honeysuckle, citrus, and berry notes. If you need a thirst quencher, their Revitaliser Smash (Bangkok) is a stellar choice with its coconut-infused mixture that blends well with vanilla, orange, lemon, lime, and tonic.
