Need further proof that Kanye and Kim are the truest relationship goals? Of course you don’t. Because it is obvious and true. But we’ll never get tired of reading about just how loved up they truly are.

E! recently chatted with Kanye West about all things Kanye, including his relationship with Kim.

We all know their story. They were friends, but Kanye was always secretly in love with Kim. Kim married Kris Humphries. Kim and Kris split up after 72 days. Kim realized that Kanye was the person she was supposed to be with, they got married, and now have two kids. Their love story is one for the ages.

But this little detail makes the whole thing even cuter.

Kanye admitted to E! that before he and Kim were dating, he really, really tried to seem cool enough that she would consider dating him, using outfits and his success to try to impress her.

“Her [spirit] was there even before she was my girlfriend,” said Kanye. “I would do these performances and hope that she would see me in my cool outfit and think that I would be cool enough to be her boyfriend.”

Aww. It’s just like all those times we reeeeeally subtly tried to share our achievements and wear our best outfits whenever we had the smallest interactions with our crushes. Celebs, they really are just like us.

Years later, it worked. For Kimye, anyway. Kanye added that he feels “extremely blessed” with his life with Kim. They’re still so in love and it’s delightful.
