The April ’24 Playlist: New Tunes to Listen to Right Now

Oh April, the vibrant musical month.

May 2024 greets us with a smile, signalling the cue for us to reflect on all the musical news we’ve had over the past month. Undeniably, April was generous with its musical delights. We were truly spoiled with a diverse range of new songs and albums released from different genres. Not to forget, we also saw a vibrant lineup of concerts and festivals that kept us entertained throughout the lively month. 

What went down in April.

For obvious reasons, Coachella stole the spotlight in April. As the biggest music festival, it draws celebrities, social media personas and music enthusiasts from all over the world. The annual event was the perfect fusion of fashion, music, arts and culture.

The festival reunites big names on its stages at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Among the lineup of musical geniuses that graced the stage were Shakira, Sabrina Carpenter, Gwen Stefani, Tyler The Creator, Doja Cat and many others.

In addition to the exceptional performances, the festival showcased diverse style inspirations that match the vibrant nature of the music. Don’t worry, we’ve compiled our favourite Coachella fashion moments for you to explore in a previous article.

Additionally, Stagecoach 2024 also took place in April featuring performances by Post Malone, Nickelback, Diplo and more. Within the context of Malaysia, our local music scene thrived just as lively. Throughout last month, we enjoyed concerts by both homegrown and international artists. Notable international musicians who made their stop in our country were CNBLUE, Kyuhyun and All Time Low.
