The RuMa Hotel Partners Virtue TCM for a Wellness-Focused Chinese New Year

Wellness Meets Prosperity.

Chinese New Year at The RuMa Hotel takes on a more mindful direction this season. Rather than focusing solely on traditional festivities, the hotel introduces ‘A Season Where Wellness Breathes Prosperity’, a curated programme that weaves wellness into every aspect of the celebration. A timely approach that reflects a growing shift towards balance, intention and meaningful ways of welcoming the year ahead.

Celebrate Chinese New Year at The RuMa Hotel with Virtue TCM through wellness-inspired dining, curated afternoon tea and thoughtful festive offerings.

At the centre of the celebration is a collaboration with Virtue TCM, one of Malaysia’s established names in traditional Chinese medicine. Together, they have developed a series of experiences that combine contemporary hospitality with time-honoured wellness principles.

Chinese New Year Set Menus with Virtue TCM

The RuMa’s Chinese New Year set menus, created by Executive Chef Suhalmi in collaboration with Virtue TCM, draw inspiration from familiar festive dishes while incorporating select herbs traditionally associated with nourishment and vitality. Available for both lunch and dinner from 5 January to 24 February 2026, the menus are designed to balance flavour with wellbeing, reinforcing the idea that health is one of the most meaningful forms of prosperity. A complimentary yee sang is also offered for group dinner reservations, adding a celebratory touch to shared meals.

Chapters of Spring Afternoon Tea at The LIBRARI

Afternoons continue at a gentler pace with the Chapters of Spring Afternoon Tea at The LIBRARI. The experience begins with a simple hand-washing ritual, followed by a selection of flower teas and herbal blends curated by Virtue TCM. Designed to support harmony and digestion, the tea offerings are paired with refined sweet and savoury bites, offering a calmer take on a classic afternoon ritual. Two formats are available, catering to both weekday visits and more leisurely weekends.

Prosperous Cocktails

The wellness theme extends into the evening with a series of Chinese New Year cocktails, each inspired by traditional Chinese medicine principles. Crafted using familiar spirits alongside herbs, fruits and botanicals, the drinks offer a modern yet culturally rooted way to mark the season. Available throughout the day, indulge either in the gin-based Golden Aspiration, or Bourbon-based Fortune’s Trot cocktails.
