August has been a standout month for music lovers. For those who depend on music to set the tone for each season, this summer has served an impressive soundtrack.
On the local scene, Malaysia became a tour stop for a number of international artists. August brought a rich lineup of concerts and we were serenaded by diverse genres by renowned artists like Laufey, Kunto Aji, Bring Me The Horizon, Super Junior, and more.

It wasn’t just the music that captivated us—the visuals were equally stunning. Charli XCX, who had already given us plenty to enjoy, surprised us with a killer combo featuring Billie Eilish for the remix of “Guess,”. It’s iconic music video perfectly captured her BRAT brand.
Sabrina Carpenter has been especially generous this year, dropping the “Taste” music video featuring Jenna Ortega as the cherry on top. I guess she really has been ‘working late ’cause she’s a singer’. And Lisa from Blackpink solidified her standing as a solo artist with a new song, “New Woman,” featuring Rosalía, accompanied by a music video that showcased her renewed essence.
