Established in the Barossa Valley in 1966, the essence of Wolf Blass wines is exemplified through the passion of its custodians past and present as they continuously strive to produce wines of quality, character and consistency.
The Tasting
In Crimson red, this is a classic Australian blend of Cabernet sauvignon 52 per cent and Shiraz 48 per cent, matured with a mix of French and American oak. For wine drinkers, the Cabernet provides elegance to the blend, and Shiraz adds fruit depth and velvety richness to the palate. On the nose, the wine deposits notes of dark fruits, blackberry, and ripe plums, with a lift of varietal Cabernet on the nose and a hint of savoury spice. When pairing, the Shiraz contributes a mid-palate fruit sweetness with plush fruit weight, well-balanced with structural oak and supportive tannins.
