FENDI drops a powerful campaign for its new Peekaboo Bags through the lens of Luca Guadagnino.
Italian fashion house Fendi has created a short film with renowned director and long-time friend of the house Luca Guadagnino to welcome the new silhouettes and hues of the iconic Peekaboo bag.
“I feel part of FENDI,” reflects Guadagnino. “I am very close friends with FENDI— as a brand for sure but, most importantly, as a friend of people who are pillars of the company. I feel a very deep connection with the brand—and my mother used to wear FENDI back in the ’70s and ’80s, so the logo, the type of materials, the quality and the design have always been part of my imagery.”
The film is infused with the house’s trademark wit, while also emphasising the empowered autonomy of the women who wear the label. Carrying a Peekaboo reveals the true a confident, strong, and empowered person who’s not afraid to hide.
In the film, she lives in a dreamy fantasy, flying and skipping atop Roman rooftops before touching down on Earth to decide her own destiny, supernaturally filled with the power of the Peekaboo. Adwoa looks immaculate together with the Peekaboo ISeeU Petite embodying the very image of the modern, fun and confident Fendi woman.
Crafted in smooth Nappa leather, the bags are available in many hues including Yellow, Fuchsia, Light Blue, Pink and Orange to name a few. Maintaining many of its original features, the classic twist lock is embellished on both sides of the iconic bag. The bag also features a stiff partition separating two compartments and houses an inner pocket that can be easily removed. Because of its handle and adjustable, detachable shoulder strap, you can carry it by hand or wear it across your body.
