The Dolla Domination.
Girl group Dolla has been the talk of the town, and I am totally living for it! We have seen them completely dominate our local concert stages, but if you haven’t heard yet, this Malaysian pop sensation girl group has made it internationally. Recently, they have made a stellar debut on the Chinese reality show “Show It All,” produced by EXO’s Lay Zhang. As expected, this milestone proves that Dolla is indeed a force to be reckoned with.
To be honest, I can’t seem to label them with just one genre. Syasya (ex-member), Sabronzo, Angel and Tabby, all showcase such exceptional vocals. Be it pop, hip hop or even ballad, they kill it every time.
Watch them Glow.
Bringing their unique identities to the world stage, each member radiates their own captivating persona. It’s about time that they received the recognition they had always deserved. Immediately, their surprise appearance on the international show rank up their popularity and brought immense pride to Malaysia. In fact, this global exposure sparks inspiration among other rising local artists too.
About five years ago, Dolla was formed under Universal Music Malaysia. Today, their discography includes an album, an EP and a number of singles in both Malay and English. I guarantee that you’ve likely heard at least one song of theirs. Famous hits include “Dolla Make You Wanna”, “Classic”, and my personal favourite, “Damelo”.
We have seen them “Boss Up” and take centre stage. So, when news broke that one of their members announced her withdrawal from the iconic quartet, fans were left shocked. Syasya Rizal decided to part ways with the group and had recently announced her marriage on her social media page. Regardless of the bittersweet update, iDOLLAs vow to keep supporting the group. To Syasya, congratulations and all the best, from all of us.
The rest of the group, now a trio, bid their goodbyes, expressing full support for Syasya’s decision. Truly heartwarming, these girls clearly share a deep bond with each other and have much in common. Certainly, they share the talent, tenacity and not to forget, the “Drip”.
