Mark Tuan, a global sensation best known as a member of K-pop group GOT7 and a burgeoning solo artist, continues to capture hearts worldwide—not only for his music but also for his authenticity and passion. As Harper’s BAZAAR Malaysia’s April cover star, Mark shared a glimpse of his artistic journey and personal growth earlier this year. Now, he’s back in Kuala Lumpur, marking his third visit in 2024, this time as Yukazan’s inaugural global brand presenter. We caught up with him during a meet-and-greet event to discuss his connection to the city, his partnership with Yukazan, and his thoughts on the importance of self-care.

Welcome back to Kuala Lumpur, Mark! This is your third visit this year. What keeps bringing you back, and what do you love most about the city?
“I can’t believe I’ve been here three times already this year,” Mark said with a smile. “Spending time with the fans who support me, even from so far away, is always special. These events give me a reason to keep coming back.” Reflecting on what he loves most about Kuala Lumpur, he added, “The fans and the food. I feel like there’s still so much I haven’t tried. I love exploring new cuisines, and this city has so much to offer.”

In August, you became Yukazan’s first global brand presenter. What drew you to this partnership, and why does it resonate with you?
Mark explained that Yukazan’s emphasis on self-care aligned perfectly with his current priorities. “Right now, at this stage of my life, self-care feels more important than ever,” he shared. “It’s something I value a lot, so partnering with a brand like Yukazan felt like the right fit.”

Are there any Yukazan products that have become essential to your routine?

Mark emphasized the importance of patience and consistency. “Taking care of yourself—physically and mentally—is so important. You’ve got to love yourself to be happy. And it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a process, so don’t stress about it. Just take it step by step, and remember to stay happy and healthy.”
