Here’s everything you need to know about ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 3:

Despite the sophomore season revolving around romantic tension, emotional trauma, and love triangles, the narrative for the finale appears to be steering in the same direction, but with more complex terrains and navigation from the characters. Without a doubt, the finale sees different growth spurts for each of the characters and the trajectory into adulthood for them—meaning the weight of decision carries more significance in this season, such as Belly’s plan to marry Jeremiah. The season seems to mull over this curveball and sets a course for Belly yet again, on making sure she’s mapping out her future with the right Fisher boy. Setting into course that the ultimate choice does awaits, we have to wait to find out who she ends up choosing.

But, if the season is following closely to the third book, We’ll Always Have Summer, then we’ll know for sure that there will be heartbreak, family strains and loss. The series has always been about more than just a love triangle—it’s a meditation on how formative experiences shape us, how family dynamics evolve and how the places we love can become both sanctuaries and sources of heartbreak.

So, we’re excited to see how Cousins beach serves as an emotional anchor for all the characters and how it changes the dynamic of Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah’s lives. We’re sure that there will be a slightly more grown-up feel in this season compared to the last two, but with a more charming reverie that’ll make you cry, laugh and swoon. Trust us, this should definitely be on your summer watch list.

Who’s in the cast?

The series regulars, such as Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Jackie Chung and Rain Spencer, will be making a return. But, the third season is also welcoming fresh faces that will be series regulars, such as Isabella Briggs and Kristen Connolly. Other new cast members include Sofia Bryant, Lily Donoghue, Zoé de Grand’Maison, Emma Ishta and Tanner Zagarino.

Will it be Taylor Swift coded again?

Without a doubt, yes! With the trailer doing a remix of Daylight and Red in an intense, orchestral format, we’re brimming with excitement to see what other songs will be used in the series. But, according to Lola Tung, who we chatted with recently, her ultimate T-Swift song from the TV Show will remain The Way I Loved You, so we’re hoping it makes a comeback this season with a different approach.
