Dior’s Diorissima High Jewellery Collection Will Draw You In

A whimsical narrative.

Dior Joaillerie enters a new chapter with Diorissima. Since her debut as Artistic Director in 1999, Victoire de Castellane has infused Christian Dior’s visionary legacy with a whimsical twist that captivates the senses. This year, the reveal of Diorissima draws inspiration from the ethereal beauty of Venice, known as La Serenissima. With Diorissima, she continues to celebrate this homage by merging three extraordinary realms: lush greenery, aquatic depths and mysterious constellations.

Making its grand reveal at the heart of the Palazzo del Casino, the haute joaillerie collection was a spectacle to behold. Further elevated by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson’s silhouettes, the magical evening sees a beautiful dialogue between high jewellery and haute couture creations. As a result, the Diorissima collection creates a stunning juxtaposition across draped pieces and flowing suits. In addition, it blends micro-pleated chiffons and more.

Inside the whimsical world behind Diorissima:

An emphasis on the unique dance of shapes and colours, the collection easily draws you in with its whimsical narrative. Here is where exquisite gemstones playfully dance in a masterful collage—a nod to the influences of artists cherished by Monsieur Dior, from Matisse to Picasso. As you dive further into the collection, the landscape of abundance is enhanced by clover, wisteria, and bunches of fruit. On the other hand, the aquatic and fluid, in serene shades of blue, swim beautifully alongside fish, corals, seaweed, and bubbles. Lastly, tapping into a celestial celebration is a fusion of shining suns, whimsical clouds, and eclipses. This forms a harmonious symphony in gemstones.

The 141-piece collection captures a sense of enchantment. Told through a series of earrings, rings, earcuffs, necklaces and a headband, the vibrant compositions of each creation beautifully capture the depth and richness of colours like never before. Among the many showstopping creations is the Diorissima Fluofleur Necklace in pink gold. It is adorned with a cascade of diamonds and rubellites. Additionally, it is set with blue, pink, purple, and yellow sapphires. That’s not all. Rhodolite and tsavorite garnets with blue-green tourmalines, Akoya white cultured pearls and blue, green, orange, pink and yellow lacquer continue to enhance its grandeur.

Additionally, the Diorissima Belle Dior Ligne Celeste Earrings are another reason to stop people in their tracks. The beautiful ensemble of blue gemstones adds a layer of elegance when flaunted, especially when it’s set in yellow gold. Furthermore, they feature diamonds, blue and yellow sapphires, turquoise beads, and black opal on onyx doublets.

Through the doublet technique, each creation emphasises the art of layering to create a mesmerising stage of colours from gemstones, like a beautiful dance that captivates you with its magnetic pull. But instead, it’s the lacquered finishes, the unparalleled savoir-faire, and the intricate artistry that capture the intensity of each jewel—a reflection of the Maison’s spirit.
