Naomi Watts Pays Moving Tribute To Ex-Boyfriend Heath Ledger 10 Years After His Death

Naomi Watts has shared a touching tribute to her ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger on the 10th anniversary of his death.

The actress, who dated the Batman star between 2002 and 2004, posted a black-and-white photograph of her former partner, calling him a “true original”.

 “Thinking about this beautiful soul today,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. “10 years ago he left this world. He was a true original. Heart always on his sleeve, with the most powerful charisma, strength, humour and talent. I will never forget his gentle spirit.”

 Ledger died aged 28 on 22 January 2008, following an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. He left behind a daughter – who he had with ex-girlfriend Michelle Williams – named Matilda, now aged 12.
