Created to evoke dreams and defy possibilities, the new Tiffany Blue Book Collection draws inspiration from flora, fauna and the architectural complexity found in nature. Five themes—winter, spring, summer, autumn and colour theory—play with modern and graphic shapes, expertly rendered with rare techniques and exceptional gemstones. Each high jewellery piece is unique, combining the visionary designs and talent of Tiffany’s prized artisans.
“The Tiffany Blue Book Collection serves as a laboratory for developing groundbreaking concepts that will one day make their way into new collections,” says Reed Krakoff, chief artistic officer, Tiffany & Co. “It’s where our most creative, experimental and innovative ideas begin.”
Winter

Within this theme shines a magnificent necklace boasting a never-before-seen ice motif. Creating the illusion of ice, skilled craftsmen studied the beauty of irregularity in order to render it in diamonds. Individually cutting each stone into jagged shapes mimicked an iceberg adrift on a sea of platinum. This stunner was composed of over 91 total carats of 237 uniquely cut diamonds that ingeniously connect like an intricate puzzle.
“The idea of ice was more a suggestion of irregularity and the seamlessness of ice when it’s cracked and broken,” says Krakoff of the design process. “We wanted to suggest the idea of these things rather than creating a representation of them.”
Equally fascinating as a study in contrast and irregularity is another textural necklace of linear diamonds set in platinum. Made to resemble frost, it was crafted with baguette and round brilliant diamonds totalling over 50 carats as well as rare Fancy Blue Gray and grey diamonds over 13 total carats.
Spring

Come springtime, the jewellery builds on the randomness and asymmetrical beauty of the natural world. Hydrangeas inspire an intricate clustering of gems, where groupings are off-centered and mixed-cut diamonds juxtaposed with sapphires, tourmalines and tanzanites of multiple hues for an anchanting ombre effect.
Summer
As the months grow warm, so does the shimmering aesthetic. Picture a flutter of diamond-encrusted moths contrasted against bold angular links, inspired by a 1940s tank chain. The winged creatures of various sizes are anchored to a classic bracelet of 18k yellow gold—some appear to be in flight and others landing, respecting their natural pattern and movement. Prepare to be blown away by the dazzle of 1,115 round brilliant diamonds of over 6 carats and 23 marquise diamonds set in platinum.
Autumn

With the change in clime, take on a refreshing lightness as seen in the interplay of gemstone colours and cuts. Here, lush vines blossom on a charming necklace as overlapping chains reveal a delicate fern motif that gently unwinds down the back. The elegant silhouette creates a fluid line with mixed-cut diamonds set in platinum; these include 9 marquise diamonds (over 5 total carats), 333 round brilliant diamonds (over 5 total carats), and 85 diamond baguettes (over 21 total carats).
There is also a large exquisite Melo Melo pearl of over 109 carats. Suspended from a custom-cut and round brilliant diamond twisted necklace set in platinum, its colour intriguingly remains orange across the entire surface.
Colour Theory

This is where colour gradation ranges from intensely saturated coloured gemstones to white diamonds. Capturing the subtle shift in palette of the four seasons, the designs call to mind the famous Pantone colour wheel. Think of it as a lasting symbol of Tiffany’s heritage, sourcing the world’s rarest diamonds and coloured gemstones of unsurpassed quality.
