Harvey Weinstein said that Jennifer Aniston “should be killed” in response to a reporter who contacted him in 2017 about a false claim that he had groped her. The rapist’s comments were disclosed via previously sealed court documents, which were seen ahead of his sentencing today, 11 March.
In October 2017, the National Enquirer contacted Weinstein’s then-representative, Sallie Hofmeister, who was hired following the New York Times’ expose about the producer’s predatory history, in which a number of women accused him of sexual harassment and assault.
The reporter wrote: “The National Enquirer intends to publish a story reporting Jennifer Aniston was sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein.” Weinstein emailed back on 31 October 2017, saying: “Jen Aniston should be killed.”

Aniston’s representative has since denied the claims, with a statement released via Variety. “The National Enquirer claims are false. Jennifer has not been harassed or assaulted by Harvey,” said Aniston rep Stephen Huvane. Her publicist told the New York Times: “He never got close enough to her to touch her. She has never been alone with him.”
On 24 February, Harvey Weinstein was found guilty on two counts was found guilty on two counts of both criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree. His prison sentence could range between five and twenty-nine years.
