Earlier this week, the trailer for the highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie of the year, Spider-Man: No Way Home was released and it contained some major jaw-dropping moments.

The trailer started off where the last movie ended – with Peter Parker’s identity being exposed in the middle of New York by the villain Mysterio. That incident put his life in chaos and in the trailer, he is heard saying, “This isn’t about me, this is hurting a lot of people. I’ve just been thinking about how to fix all of this.”

He then pays a visit to 177A Bleecker Street, the home of Dr Stange to ask for help, leading to a spell being wrongly cast where the both of them end up in a multiverse of sorts. If you haven’t already seen it, check the trailer out here and be prepared to be blown away!

Needless to say, fans are excited and for two reasons – one, for all the major surprises revealed, which include crossovers to the previous Spider-Man franchises from the early 2000s. And number two, to see the on-screen chemistry of ‘Tomdaya’ aka Tom Holland and Zendaya (who plays Michelle Jones aka MJ) after their off-screen relationship was confirmed through paparazzi shots of them making out in a car earlier in July 2021.

Tom and Zendaya join a long list of couples who met on the set of movies but what’s different is that they started out as friends five years ago when filming the first movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. Then in 2017, rumours of them dating arose but were quickly shut down when Zendaya herself tweeted, “My favourite is when it says we go on vacations together HA! I haven’t been on a vacation in years! hbu @TomHolland1996 ???” and was quoted saying, “He’s a great dude. He’s literally one of my best friends,” to Variety.

Zendaya was then rumoured to be dating her Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi 2019 while Tom spent time in lockdown in his London home with girlfriend and actress Nadia Parkes, and all was forgotten about ‘Tomdaya’ until they were photographed kissing in a car this year.

Just recently, the beautiful couple was spotted at a friend’s wedding looking all loved up and cosy in pictures. Tom and Zendaya follow in the footsteps of previous Spider-Man cast members – Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone – who have dated in real life.
