Revisiting the famous square case with a round opening and screws at all four corners of the iconic BR 03 design, the watch features softened lines as a result of the rounded angles and reduced dimensions, creating a watch that is less extreme, more mainstream and wearable as a day-to-day accessory.
Today, the BR 05 Copper Brown offers the fourth iteration of metallic brown with copper highlights which provides a warmer tone to those who prefer such hues. A definite contrast to the watch’s existing siblings in black, grey and navy blue, the BR 05 Copper Brown is intended for elegant city dwellers looking for a chic, dressy and contemporary watch. Its mainstream light brown hue, which recalls the soft leather tints, is easy to wear every day during the day and at night. As the name suggests, the watch is adorned with a golden-brown dial, enriched by a sunburst finish which gives shine and a sense of preciousness recalling the light of the end of a Summer’s day.
“Brown is a colour that is increasingly in demand in watchmaking. It’s an easy-to-wear, stylish colour commonly found in the modern man’s wardrobe”, recalls Bruno Belamich.
Two main operations make it possible to obtain this tone and this particular depth: Firstly, machining whereby the sunburst effect is obtained by circular micro-engraving of the metal plate of the dial. This work gives all its luminosity to the colour which varies according to the inclination of the dial. Secondly, the varnishing of several coats of transparent brown coating the metal plate of the dial gives the watch depth and uniqueness to the colour of Copper Brown.
The BR 05 Copper Brown is available in a steel strap and a brown rubber strap.
Its 40 mm case is worn on either a polished steel bracelet or a textured brown rubber strap which provides a sportier feeling. Though marketed as an urban watch, the BR 05 features 100m of water resistance and a strong screw-down crown making it perfect for a day out in the hills or beach.
