BAZAAR Fragrance Awards 2017: Most Seductive Scent

Diptyque Eau Duelle Eau de Parfum, RM639 (75ml)

Sweet Addiction: Paired with cistus and ambroxan, the warm and seductive Eau Duelle Eau de Parfum signals a sexy night ahead with its animalistic and alluring notes of Bourbon vanilla.

The Journey Begins: Founded in 1961 by three friends, Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Gautrot, and Yves Coueslant, Diptyque originally produced printed fabrics before settling into the now-famous scented candles in 1963. Inspired by a 16th-century potpourri recipe and the scent of pomanders, Knox-Leet persuaded his partners to create their first eau de toilette, L’Eau, in 1968.

Simple Icon: Diptyque’s minimal construction, monochromatic tones, and squoval label exude an enduring quality and make its fragrances easy to spot from a distance. Designed by Knox-Leet, the labels are inspired by his travel sketches and have remained so since its founding.
