Centro Hair Salon founder Kevin Woo definitely knows what’s cool when it comes to spicing up the hottest hair trend. By Li Ying Lim.

Heads up: red is blazing a brighter and bolder trail this season.
“This hair takes only 10 minutes to prepare,” says Kevin Woo, BAZAAR Hair Awards 2015 winning hairstylist and Centro Hair Salon founder. “It’s glamorous, eye-catching, and so lively,” Woo says. “Remember to prepare the base for this look to ensure that your hair doesn’t fall flat at the end. I like a little bit of sea salt spray or dry shampoo powder at the roots.” After that, coat tendrils with a heat protector. Woo’s favourite – Kérastase Discipline Keratine Thermique. Then, Woo sections the hair into eight parts and starts curling them.
He also likes L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.Art Volume Pli to give the hair some movement. Finally, always ask if you can get vibrant colours sans bleaching to ensure minimum hair damage – Woo recommends MajiContrast from L’Oréal Professionnel to get the same sort of effect and three-dimensional kick as post-bleached hair.
