A visit to the Dior Spa has always been on our bucket list. But we’d never think to dream of having the experience aboard a moving train across the lush sceneries of our own backyard.
Well, Belmond and their Eastern & Oriental Express make these dreams come true with the unveiling of the Dior Spa aboard the train. A fusion of indulgence and elegance, the Dior Spa onboard will also be the first-ever in the region. Taking over one of the sixteen Art Deco-inspired carriages, the new Dior Spa Eastern & Oriental Express offers a slice of tranquillity and complete relaxation throughout your scenic escape.
Starting in neighbouring Singapore, the Eastern & Oriental Express invites travellers on seasonal journeys that crawl through Malaysia’s dynamic and vast landscapes. A three-night affair, there will be two routes available: The Wild Malaysia that will run from March to October and The Essence of Malaysia that will commence from November to February.
Dior Spa
Whether it’s before or after an excursion, guests will be able to choose from a selection of five different treatments on board. The one that has immediately caught our eye is the exclusive ‘D-Jungle’. A fusion of Asian-inspired techniques designed to invigorate both body and mind, this treatment is essentially a deep muscle massage that targets specific energy points to relieve any travel tension.
The two other body treatments available are Constellation and D-Tissue. The calming Constellation has a more holistic approach with slow and enveloping movements, whilst D-Tissue is a more deep and dynamic massage that’s ideal for relieving fatigued muscles after a day of exploring.
Offering two unique facial experiences, the Kobi-Dior combines traditional Japanese Kobido massage techniques with effective Dior Prestige skincare. A high-performance anti-ageing treatment, it targets various face muscles to resculpt facial contours and smoothen wrinkles.
For those looking to completely unwind and retire for the night, the Le Soin de Minuit is the perfect choice. With everything about the treatment dedicated to promoting sleep and to achieve peak skin regeneration as you slumber, the facial even ends with a relaxing breathing and meditation exercise.
