Izrin Ismail still has her trademark bob and luminous skin from 2011. In the past seven years, the 35-year-old has brought Innai Red to new heights, carving a niche in the local fashion scene by offering bespoke feminine silhouettes adorned with signature embellishments. Bringing the same sense of elegance to her dressing, Izrin believes in having your own voice without being swayed by trends. “Fashion is not only about having the look, but also about getting into character,” she insists. Her recent fascination? The fantasy of the underwater world. “I can picture a collection with a fluid cut that has colours of the ocean as the palette. There will be pearlescent finishings that glimmer with every movement, topped with sequins and pearls as embellishments,” she laughs. “In fashion, the sky is the limit. You just have to see where your imagination takes you.”
