Louis Vuitton Parfums Reveal Second Drop of Collaboration with Yayoi Kusama

Yayoi Kusama collaborates with Louis Vuitton Parfums

Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton continue their love affair to reveal the second drop of this exciting collaboration. The new drop sees her shift away from the themes of ‘Painted Dots, Infinity Dots’ of Drop 1. The second being equally, if not more playful, intrinsic and iconically Yayoi.

Take two of this anticipated drop reveals eclectic artistry and the signature motifs of Yayoi Kusama: pumpkin, flowers and faces. She excitingly plays with the famous themes that you recurrently see in her life work.

With paintings, serigraphy, sculptures and installations as her main mediums, it’s the Louis Vuitton fragrance bottle that is her next choice of canvas to receive her artistic touch. Out of the illustrious Louis Vuitton fragrance wardrobe, it’s the L’Immensite, Attrape-Reves and their Spell On You that have been transformed with her iconic art style.

To mirror the captivating and romantic themes of the Spell On You fragrance, Yayoi puts emphasis on her majestic flowers. The scent is a sensual bouquet of iris, rose and jasmine—a  playful, powerful and ever so feminine combination. These captivating flowers seen on the flacon aim to echo the ingredients of the sensual scent, bringing a crafted feminine touch to the collection.

Delving into her newer pattern of Faces, Louis Vuitton and Yayoi dive through her more recent works to birth the print for the Attrape-Rêves bottle. Vibrant, humorous and smiley, the flacon is adorned with a pulsating combination of colours. A scent that’s full of celebration and wonderment, it perfectly mirrors the spirited motif.

And what is Yayoi without pumpkins? One of her most iconic symbols, you’ll find a bright iteration of the classic pattern on the masculine L’Immensité flacon. With its sharp, fresh breaths of ginger, grapefruit and amber, the fragrance explores themes of limitless horizons, freedom and playfulness—a similar feeling we experience when admiring Yayoi’s unique representation of pumpkins and her art in general.
