Meet the New Face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle: Whitney Peak

There’s a new Mademoiselle in town and its none other than Whitney Peak as she becomes the newest face of the Coco Mademoiselle!

Albeit young in age, Whitney Peak has already amassed a pretty powerful discography. The Canadian actress has made waves through previous performances in Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and the Disney+ film Hocus Pocus 2, before landing a leading role in the HBO remake of cult favourite Gossip Girl.

Her next main role? None other than being the newest face of Chanel’s chic and bright Coco Mademoiselle fragrance. With her charismatic presence, elegant style and personality, the young actor embodies the modern Coco Mademoiselle.

Who is Whitney Peak

Whitney Peak

A reflection of her generation, she exudes a powerful sense of freedom; freedom to present herself to the world, with great clarity and audacity, freedom to be exactly as she is right now and in the future in all her juxtapositions, in all her nuances; freedom to be who she chooses to be and in what she chooses to do. A modern-day embodiment of a young Gabrielle Chanel, they look to Whitney to bring her young icon status to trailblaze a leading path for girls and women alike.

As a young lady herself, Whitney prides herself on self-care, following her own path and putting out the truest version of herself.  “For me, self-care isn’t “I’m going to stay home and do a face mask and watch a movie. I do that anyway”, she admits laughing. “Self- care to me really is just doing whatever fuels me, whatever helps me put the best, truest version of myself out there.” Another way she indulges in self-care is through perfume and fragrance as well.

Her Relationship with Coco Mademoiselle

Speaking of her connection to the Coco Mademoiselle she explains, “I’ve gotten to build a relationship with the Coco Mademoiselle that overlaps any experience I’ve ever had with the fragrance before. It’s not often that you get to learn how the perfume you wear is made. I wear it and I’m like, ‘Yes, this is me.’”

Having found a ritualistic relationship with the Coco Mademoiselle, the act of putting on a perfume has become so profound and necessary, Whitney sometimes feels incomplete without it. “When I get out of the shower, I put my moisturiser on, I do my oil, I put my fragrance on and I also put it on my clothes and on my hair. Without [my fragrance] I am incomplete. When I’m complete, I can fully give myself. I can be fully vulnerable; I can be open and accepting. If you’re going to leave the house and give yourself to everybody, I think you should always feel very complete. My fragrance is the perfect ‘complete.’”

Entrusted to carry on the powerful legacy of Gabrielle Chanel, Whitney is the perfect fit to the Coco Mademoiselle family. Strong, vibrant, youthful and confident—this is how she sees herself too. “Wouldn’t it be funny if my legacy was that I smelt good?” she jokes.

The Coco Mademoiselle

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

With even its wonderful blush hue, the juice of the Coco Mademoiselle stands out and shines. Its sparkling ambery composition opens with a splash of vibrant orange which then meets the heart of jasmine and may rose before unfurling vibrant accents of patchouli and vetiver.

“It doesn’t paint too big or full a picture. It leaves room for the imagination for women to embody the fragrance in their own individuality, however they want their own personality to shine through. And when you have the right fragrance, it gives you an air of confidence—there is a beautiful duality to it” Whitney beams.
