On the Shopping List
We’re back from Seoul and, unsurprisingly, our suitcases are heavier than when we left. While K-beauty is no longer the insider secret it once was, with retailers like Watsons and Sephora stocking an ever-growing edit, there are still plenty of gems that haven’t quite made their way to Malaysia yet.
Looking for what to buy in Korea? These are the K-beauty products worth picking up in Seoul that we’re currently loving.
This is our curated list of what’s worth picking up while you’re here. Think of it as a slightly more considered beauty haul. These are the products that feel a little more special, and the ones you will not easily find back home.
Tamburins

Tamburins feels like an obvious one. The scents are a little more unique and less conventional, which makes them stand out. Even if perfume is not really your thing, the egg lip balms are an easy pick. They are well-designed, practical, and often come in limited editions, which makes them a nice keepsake to bring back.
Rejuran

Anything from Rejuran is worth considering if you are focused on skin repair. The Healer Turnover Ampoule and Concentrate Cream are two of their most popular products, both designed to support the skin barrier and improve overall texture. It is the kind of skincare that is more about long-term results rather than instant effects.
Non Fiction

Non Fiction is slightly underrated but definitely worth a look. The scents are subtle and well-balanced, with Gentle Night being a standout. It is available across multiple formats like body wash, lotion, and hand care, which makes it easy to layer. If you prefer something softer and less overpowering, this is a good place to start.
Whipped

Whipped might be one of the more playful brands on this list, but it does not compromise on performance. The flagship store in Seongsu even offer make-your-own workshops, which adds to the charm. Their cleansers are a big hit and even double as masks, leaving skin feeling comfortably clean rather than stripped.
Aestura

If your skin tends to be on the sensitive side, this is one to keep in mind. Aestura’s ATOBARRIER365 Cream focuses on strengthening the skin barrier using high-density ceramide capsules. It also includes niacinamide to help improve overall skin condition. The texture is rich but not heavy, making it especially useful for dry or weakened skin.
VT Cosmetics

VT Cosmetics continues to dominate conversations thanks to the Reedle Shot, a targeted treatment designed to refine skin texture and boost absorption of subsequent skincare. Available in multiple strengths up to 1000, it allows you to tailor intensity based on your skin’s tolerance. It is also noticeably more affordable in Korea, making it worth picking up here for both value and authenticity.
Narka

For quick, precise styling, this is a surprisingly useful addition. Narka’s Hair Mascara comes in Hard Fix and Hype Fit options, both designed to smooth and control stray hairs. The dual brush allows for more targeted application, while the formula provides hold without feeling stiff. It works particularly well for taming frizz or refining a sleek look.
ISOI

A simple way to refresh tired eyes comes in the form of ISOI’s Blemish Care Eye & Wrinkle Patch. These hydrogel patches are infused with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and rose oil to hydrate and brighten the under-eye area.
Primera

Lip care that goes a bit further than basic hydration is what Primera offers with its Retinol Volume Lip Serum. It provides a subtle plumping effect on application while working over time to improve firmness and smoothness. With consistent use, lips feel more hydrated and look slightly fuller without relying on heavy gloss.
Hera

Hera remains a staple for refined, modern beauty and the locals continue to grab for the Sensual Nude Gloss. Enriched with hydrating ingredients like evening primrose oil, it keeps lips comfortable while adding a subtle cooling sensation.
Madecassol

Madecassol is a go-to for targeted skin solutions and the Madeca Medi Patch uses hydrocolloid technology to protect blemishes while promoting healing, with centella asiatica extract to soothe irritation. Available in multiple sizes with a semi-matt finish, they remain discreet on the skin, making them a practical and effective solution for managing breakouts.
