The couture fashion shows always bring a level of hair and makeup dramatic flair deemed too wild, divisive, and/or polarizing for the buttoned-up seasonal runways. After all, there's nothing safe about sticking fresh bunches of flowers into hair, dashing shadow in primary colors all-around the eye, or pairing an Oscar-ready gown with nothing more than a loose ponytail and glossy lip. 10. The Hair Accessories

Though the Rodarte show in Paris was technically not couture, we could make a strong argument that the hair, at the very least, was deserving of the label. Models had their hair piled on with bows in various colors and textures and bushels of white flowers.
