Princess Eugenie Chose Zac Posen For Her Private Wedding Dinner

Shortly after Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank were married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Friday, the newlyweds made their way to a private dinner held at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. For the evening event the bride changed from her Peter Pilotto wedding dress into a beautiful blush pink silk gown by American designer Zac Posen.

Pictures now released, taken by British fashion photographer Alex Bramall, show the custom made gown, a stunning silk plissé cut on the bias with a cinched in waist, long sleeves and a cape detail.

Posen reportedly took inspiration from the English countryside when designing the dress, the blush pink colour being ‘the blush of an English rose’. The White Rose of York is also apparently delicately embroidered on the shoulders and back of the cape.

Eugenie stepped away from tradition not only by not wearing white but by choosing an American designer over a British one. The Duchess of Cambridge wore custom Alexander McQueen for the evening reception, while the Duchess of Sussex chose Stella McCartney.

Following the dinner, Princess Eugenie changed again. Opting for a bespoke white mini dress and silk pink biker jacket for the festival-themed evening reception. The ensemble was designed by Sam Dougal, creative director and co-founder at Gainsbourg, and on the back of the jacket featured embroidery in the princess’ handwriting spelling out “Mrs Brooksbank.”
