#TheLIST: The Top Bridal Trends of Fall 2018

While last season's bridal runways were full of outside-the-box ideas for brides, this season calls for a return back to tradition. For Fall 2018, gowns feature bigger ball skirts than ever, the sexy bride has hung up her hat in favor of a more fashion-forward take on sheer and sensuality, and the overtly edgy girl is a bit more cool and confident—without the need for added angst. Long-awaited minimalism is on the rise for an industry often ridden with over-embellishment, and while laces are going nowhere, there are now an array of alternatives to its vintage appeal. We combed the season's runways for what brides-to-be should be shopping for as they plan for Fall 2018 walks down the aisle. Here, the bridal trends you'll be shopping for next season's weddings.

12. Wear Again Minis

While bridal’s often been spoken of as a once-in-a-lifetime experience (and in so many ways, it is)—designers are opening up to the idea of you being able to wear your look long after your wedding day. Imagine slipping into your reception dress for a newlywed date; or, even better, realizing your civil ceremony dress fits again after you and your husband celebrate the birth of your first child. Rather than pushing dresses one can wear only once, bridal designers are turning a new leaf, offering brides-to-be options they can wear long after the big day.
