What a start to Wednesday morning when Hilary Clinton addressed her supporters in New York after conceding the 2016 presidential election to Republican Donald Trump in a shocking turn of events.
Even in defeat, Hilary remains a classy and hopeful leader that she is, congratulating Donald Trump personally on a call and also offered to work for him. “We must accept the result and look to the future. Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and a chance to lead,” said Clinton, as she openly admitted her disappointment in her first public comments on the election result.
“And to all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and to achieve your own dreams.”
“I know we have still not shattered that highest and hardest glass ceiling, but someday, someone will, and hopefully sooner than we might think right now.”
