Malaysia’s Most Stylish Women 2018

Ending this 15th anniversary year on a high, Harper’s BAZAAR Malaysia celebrates 15 style trailblazers in the most spectacular Malaysia’s Most Stylish Women project to date, featuring inspirational women who continue to challenge the status quo. BAZAAR’s leading ladies live out their most surreal experiences through dreamy transformations, captured in the spirit of Man Ray, Kiki de Montparnasse, and Salvador Dalí, in a three-day fashion fantasy at the glamorous Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.

“The most important value to have is kindness. It’s free, and there’s a shortage.” – Sophia Khan

Leave it to an inspiring educator to consider Malaysia’s political shake-up earlier this year in May her biggest highlight of 2018. Petite, but with a whole lot of spirit, Sophia’s tenacity easily lights up a room, whether it’s during deep, thought-provoking conversations throughout the weekend or her infectious laughter. The young visionary certainly is a brow raiser; the perfect opportunity for us to translate her spellbinding prowess through a headdress inspired by Surrealist designer Elsa Schiaparelli’s eyebrow cap from the 1950s. “Fashion is art, and the way one chooses to clothe themselves is a reflection of their inner being,” says Sophia.
