Pink Power

The incredible support of #BAZAARPinkProject, by the city’s most stylish women, made itself clear not only in the great turn-out, and a real appreciation of the dress code, pink, or course, but in the sharing of stories. Almost everyone in The Living Room, at The Westin, Kuala Lumpur had had a brush with the disease that affects an extraordinary number of women. There was not a dry eye in the house after BAZAAR editor-in-chief, Natasha Kraal, shared her personal story and dedicated the afternoon to Bluinc editor and close friend Elaine Kwong, herself bravely battling cancer.

While it may sound like you’ve heard the call to wear pink and think pink in support of breast cancer everywhere, early detection through monthly self-exams really does help save lives, and so we cannot spread this message enough. It could be your sister, your mother, your best friend, whose life is saved because she heard it. And then, took action.
