Fashion Takes Hold at Art Basel Paris 2025

What’s happening in Paris right now?

Art Basel Paris is back for its fourth year and it has taken over Paris with more than 200 artists showing at the iconic Grand Palais as well as dozens of beautiful street installations around the city.

Art and fashion have always been closely intertwined; for Art Basel, fashion is recognised as an art form in itself with the prestigious Cross Disciplinary Creator award presented to British fashion designer and recently appointed head of menswear at Hermès, Grace Wales Bonner, earlier this year. Therefore, it comes to no surprise that fashion is playing a large part of the festivities in Paris, one of the fashion capitals in the world.

Miu Miu presents 30 Blizzards. by Helen Marten

Open to the public until October 26, this major artwork at the Palais d’Iéna features five sculptures, five videos, and a sequenced, live performance with 30 characters. An exploration of the storms we encounter in life, from childhood to old age, this special project was conceived in close collaboration with opera director Fabio Cherstich, composer Beatrice Dillon, and animator, Adam Sinclair.

As the official partner of Art Basel Paris Public Programme this year, Miu Miu has chosen to work with a British artist Helen Marten, whose work and vision aligns with the brand’s mission to tell women’s stories across different mediums.

Louis Vuitton reveals Artycapucines collection with Takasi Murakami

For its seventh iteration, Louis Vuitton’s Artycapucines initiative taps long time collaborator, Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami. Together, they present 11 one-of-a-kind designs reinterpreting the iconic Capucines bag.

The Gerard Richter exhibition showing at Fondation Louis Vuitton, a French art museum sponsored by LVMH, is also in the headlines for its unprecedented scale, showing over 270 works across the 10-gallery space until 2 March 2026. The world renowned German visual artist also made one of the biggest sales at Art Basel Paris; his painting, Abstraktes Bild (Abstract Painting) sold for USD 23 million.

Edward Enninful hosts The 90s for Art Basel Paris Conversations 

The fashion director with legendary stints at i-D, W Magazine, and British Vogue curates one-on-one conversations at the Petit Palais with visionaries who have shaped  whole decade of fashion and art: photographer Juergen Teller, textile artist Yinka Shonibare CBE, artist Mark Leckey who is behind Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore (1999), and the first black woman to represent Britain at the Venice Biennale (and winning the coveted Golden Lion Prize), Sonia Boyce.

Art Basel Conversation invites Tyler Mitchell to speak on Photography Now 

A highlight of Art Basel Paris’s public programme, Mitchell, who shot to fame as the first African American and one of the youngest photographers to shoot an American Vogue cover, breaks down his career and photography style, while commenting on the current state of photography as an art form.

German painter and graphic artist Thomas Bayrle presents Coats (1967–68 / 2025), a limited-edition raincoat reissued in partnership with neugerriemschneider gallery. Produced in three colours and three sizes, each piece is signed and numbered in an edition of 800, with 50 exclusive units available in Paris. The Art Basel Shop also showcases collaborations with a selection of leading artists and brands, including, Thomas Bayrle, Kasing Lung, William Mapan, Camille Henrot and Harry Nuriev himself.
