Ayo Edebiri’s Best Fashion Moments to Date

A bona fide fashion star.

Ever since her breakout acting debut in the award-winning comedy-drama series The Bear, the following years have been nothing short of eventful for American actress and comedian Ayo Edebiri. From leading alongside Rachel Sennott in queer high school comedy Bottoms, voicing Envy in Inside Out 2 and starring in Loewe’s Spring 2025 pre-collection campaign, it is no doubt that the 29-year-old has been booked and busy than ever since she brought young and determined sous-chef Sydney Adamu to our screens.

Born and raised in Boston, Edebiri hailed from a background in stand-up comedy. Having majored in dramatic writing, she also created a portfolio in writing for shows like NBC’s sitcom Sunnyside, FX’s vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows, Apple TV’s historical teen drama Dickinson and Netflix’s animated show Big Mouth. All of which posed as a portal for her to enter the world of acting.

Besides acting, Edebiri has also proven that her sartorial prowess is something else to keep on our radar. Having swept the board during last year’s awards season for her performance as Syd, one could not deny she did so in style—whether it be in a ruby red Prada dress or an exquisitely sculpted custom Louis Vuitton.

The mastermind behind these looks? None other than celebrity stylist Danielle Goldberg who also dresses fashion darlings like Saoirse Ronan, Greta Lee and Kaia Gerber. Goldberg was employed by Edibiri’s team after the actress started gaining traction from her work in The Bear. The bold yet elegant and modest silhouettes that Edebiri dons are mainly customs from contemporary designers like Loewe, Bottega Veneta and Proenza Schouler.

2025 Golden Globes (Loewe)

Starting strong with a homage to Julia Roberts’ iconic suit at the Golden Globes in 1990, Edebiri teamed up with Loewe for a custom oversized grey suit with a 14-karat gold-dipped feather tie. The look was styled with Mejuri earrings and Edebiri sported freshly-dyed red hair to resemble Roberts’ locks.

2024 Emmys (Bottega Veneta)

Edebiri stunned the 2024 Emmys red carpet in a sequined custom Bottega Veneta with a thigh-high leg slit. The accessorising was dialled down with black heels from Gianvito Rossi and sculptural silver pendants attached to small hoops for earrings.

Los Angeles Premiere of The Bear Season 3 (Loewe)

In LA, the actress went floral with a piece from Loewe’s Fall 2024 collection that featured delicate pink, blue and green flower bouquets and finished with a bubble hem. She complemented the look with white stiletto sandals along with aquamarine stud earrings and a pear-shaped ring of the same stone from Tiffany and Co.

Good Morning America (Loewe)

Outside the studios of Good Morning America, Edebiri was seen sporting a navy vest paired with baggy olive green cargo pants. Cat eye sunglasses and a Loewe top-handle Puzzle bag with black square-toe boots finished the whole ensemble.

Inside Out 2 (Bottega Veneta)

At the world premiere of Inside Out 2, Edebiri channelled her character Envy in a mint custom Bottega Veneta suit with capri-length shorts. The monochromatic outfit was paired with shiny black vinyl peep-toe Cha-Cha mules.

2024 Met Gala (Loewe)

Making her debut appearance at the Met Gala, Edebiri wore a custom-made Loewe halter neck dress that cascaded to the floor with 3D applique flowers complementing it.

2024 SAG Awards (Luar)

At the 2024 SAG Awards, Edebiri brought effortless drama to the red carpet in an avant-garde checkered gown by Luar. The show-stopping dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline was paired with a simple silver necklace and a silver ring.

The Tonight Show (Marc Jacobs)

While on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Edebiri brought a playful yet elegant twist to the famous LBD (little black dress) with a black structured strapless minidress from Marc Jacobs featuring an emphasized sweetheart neckline. The dress was paired with sheer back tights and pointed-toe heels from Manolo Blahnik.

2023 Emmys (Louis Vuitton)

Marking her first Emmy Award win, Edebiri wore a custom 3D moulded gown by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton. For accessories, a delicate diamond necklace and diamond stud earrings from Brilliant Earth were worn with a classic pair of strappy black heels.

2024 Golden Globes (Prada)

For the 2024 Golden Globes, Edebiri opted for a strapless red satin column gown that fell mid-shin. Fitted at the bodice, the dress featured a dainty voile knotted drape detail at the bust that trailed effortlessly behind.
