BAZAAR Tries: The BAZAAR Team Styles Nazifi Nasri’s Signature Bags

Haven’t you heard? Nazifi Nasri’s bags are all the rage right now.

When it comes to homegrown brands, you will always see the hype surrounding Nazifi Nasri and his leather creations. Founder and designer Nazifi Nasri kicked off his journey by creating cardholders at the peak of COVID-19 in 2020. However, he later expanded his brand by designing leather goods for men, which flourished into creating the stylish companions we grew to learn and love today.

All in all, his Oked bags are causing a lot of buzz in Malaysia, and we mean it in a good way. With every drop and every creation, eager fans will go the extra mile to grab their hands on the leather companions. In fact, Nazifi’s bags went viral at this year’s pop-up in PJ Trade Centre and Riuh Raya as fans eagerly waited in line, just like the years before.

It’s safe to say that fans of the eponymous brand will go above and beyond for his leather goods due to their adorable, extremely chic, and durable shape. If you’re out and about and you see his Oked creation, fashion darlings will immediately recognise that it is a Nazifi Nasri creation—and that’s his current impact in Malaysia.

For the BAZAAR team, we got our hands on the bags to showcase how we would style them for every occasion. From a day in the park to work appointments and brunch dates, owning a Nazifi Nasri creation transcends every occasion, season, and more. Let’s see what the team wore with these gorgeous leather creations.

Here’s how we styled Nazifi Nasri’s creations:

“The Medium Oked in Rose Gold had a light metallic sheen, so I thought I would complement it with dark neutral tones to make it pop a little and spotlight the bag.”

Ai Lim, Fashion Director

“The Moon bag in Navy Blue reminded me of a cool satchel, so I was inspired to recreate an after-school look, where the uniform is more inspired by “The Craft” (the original, not the remake) than, say, “Clueless.” Hence the untucked white oxford, loose knee-length shorts, and black boots.

“There’s nothing like a bit of sparkle to brighten up your day, and the Mini Oked in Bling Silver makes for the perfect companion through every season. Call it preppy, but I went for a striped button-down shirt and flared denim jeans combo to get through the day.”

Amalina Anuar, Digital Director

“A little black dress that can transcend from day to night is always going to be the perfect match for Nazifi Nasri’s Mini Oked bag in Hot Pink – no matter the colour.”
