- Bella Hadid attended Louis Vuitton’s menswear show for the fall 2020 season.
- She wore a blue two-piece look and sat between Kris Wu and Alexandre Arnault.
It’s expected that Bella Hadid will appear at fashion weeks across the globe. She is, after all, one of the most in-demand models working, appearing on myriad advertisements and gliding down the runways of the most prestigious brands. Today, however, she eschewed the catwalk for a plum front-row seat at Louis Vuitton’s menswear show for the fall 2020 season. Wearing a blue cropped halter top and baggy trousers, the 23-year-old was flanked by actor Kris Wu and Alexandre Arnault, the son of LVMH’s chief executive, Bernard Arnault.
Though she is certainly no stranger to Louis Vuitton, having worn many of the brand’s pieces on and off the runway, she has yet to front a campaign of her own. Could this be a hint at what is to be expected next month, when the French maison will debut its womenswear line? Perhaps.
It would be a no-brainer if Louis Vuitton didn’t have a different creative director overseeing the women’s collection. Nicolas Ghesquière has purview over that line, and he has his own go-to coterie of models and celebs. Whereas with the menswear designer, Virgil Abloh, Hadid is a card-carrying member of his club.
Her attendance at the Louis Vuitton show could very well have been a gesture of support for her friend. And it would be safe to assume that she was wearing one of Abloh’s designs instead of Ghesquière’s. Either way, the look was on point. She’s recently been following the resurgence of ’90s styles, wearing midriff-baring pieces, small-frame glasses, and, yes, baggy pants throughout her many appearances at Paris Menswear Week.
