Everyone is still reeling in the effects of the 75^th annual Golden Globes Awards because this year, something monumental happened. And no, we’re not talking about Oprah Winfrey’s powerful speech (which we already gushed about here), we’re focusing on the all-black dress code.

Following the sexual allegations against Harvey Weinstein and the #MeToo movement that erupted late last year, a large majority of the attendees expressed their support for the victims of sexual assault and harassment in the entertainment industry through the colour of their frocks, with actresses donning black gowns and actors sporting black shirts or pin badges in support of the ‘Time’s Up’ campaign.
