SAINT LAURENT

Man, I feel like a woman.

“Saint Laurent is as much about attitude as it is a spectacle,” said Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello, and with good reason. For his Spring/Summer ’20 collection at the maison, the spirit of Rive Gauche was envisioned against a backdrop of hypnotic lights and the splendour of the Eiffel Tower. Here, the house’s patrimony codes were recalled: graphic variations of the caban paired with shorts and high boots grazing the knees, while long fluid dresses with burnished-gold embroideries preceded a symphony of black tuxedos. An imaginary voyage, of Saint Laurent’s past and present.
