Dior Cruise 2024 Explores the Rich Heritage of Mexico

For Dior Cruise 2024, Maria Grazia Chiuri celebrates the intellectual style and independent spirit of Frida Kahlo with mesmerising colour palettes, poetic prints and masculine-feminine silhouettes steeped in the interwoven traditions of Mexico.

This season, Maria Grazia Chiuri brings us on an intimate journey through the lush landscape and rich heritage of Mexico. At the heart of the collection, emblematic figure Frida Kahlo ties the collection together, offering a "a powerful connection to this culture". An independent spirit, Kahlo's intelligent ethos and unique way of dressing inspired much of the collection, transpiring as suits, full skirts and traditional huipil tunics. Elsewhere, the symbolic butterfly lends its beauty throughout the collection. At once fragile yet strong, the butterfly takes shape as precious ornaments and accessories, as well as delicate embroideries and vibrant prints. Not forgetting Dior's iconic toile de Jouy print, a kaleidoscope of vivacious butterflies are featured alongside Mexican flora and fauna.
