When Meghan Markle stepped out for her first official engagement with Prince Harry two weeks ago, her handbag sold out within 11 minutes of the photos surfacing. Most of us weren’t quick enough to snap one up, but there is still a chance of adding it to your arsenal.

The brand has revealed that as a result of Markle’s choice to carry the bag, their website traffic has increased by over 5,000 per cent. In addition to this, the same style as Markle’s sold for £1,765 on eBay, up from its original price of £495.

The success didn’t stop there. Strathberry relaunched production of the now famous bag the following week and the first pre-order batch of 400 totes sold out on the site within 24 hours. A third batch of the handbags has now gone into production, but won’t be available until February 2018.

However, if you can’t wait until then to get your hands on it, want one from the original batch and would like to donate some money to a very worthy cause at the same time, you are in luck. Strathberry is launching an online auction to sell the final Meghan Midi Tote from the original production run, the proceeds of which will aid the Terrence Higgins Trust, the charity Markle and Harry visited the day she carried the bag.

If you want to bid, head to the Strathberry website right now. The auction will end on Sunday 17 December – and if you are the lucky winner, you’ll have it hanging on your arm before Christmas.
