In this exclusive interview, we caught up with Thai actress ‘Nychaa Nuttanicha’ on why she adores Saint Laurent.

This season in Paris, we caught up with Nychaa as she prepares for the Saint Laurent Winter ’24 show.

How many times have you attended Saint Laurent shows? How did you prepare for it this time, and are you as excited as you were the first time?

It is my second time attending a Saint Laurent show. Compared to the first time, it is more relaxed as I know how to prepare myself and what to bring to be ready for the show—so it is easier in terms of preparation. About the excitement, I still get excited everytime. I get very excited from the moment I enter the show venue; when I see the backdrop and am surrounded by the scent and the atmosphere … everything is magnificent and exciting! So, it makes me feel excited every time.

Given that you travel to Paris frequently for work, do you get the chance to explore the city? What is your favourite place in Paris?

Of course, I have explored many places, but if I had to choose one, it would be the Tuileries Garden because this place gives me a comfortable feeling. I can walk and relax on my day off, and when I walk around, oftentimes, I would meet Thai people. I also think the atmosphere at the Tuileries Garden is really good. Moreover, I have been to the Christmas Market here and it made me feel so happy, which is why I chose this place.

What impresses you the most about Saint Laurent?

To be honest, I really like the core identity of Saint Laurent. I love the style and everything about the brand. I can’t identify what I like the most as I like them all. Everything is just that good.

How do you think Saint Laurent represents your personal style?

Well, it encompasses so many things. From the moods and tones, to the selection of colours, the styling and cutting … I’m a Saint Laurent girl at heart. I can see myself wearing the brand and no matter which look or style it is, I can see myself and those items going well together. For example, when I see a bag from Saint Laurent, I always think, this is actually my style. Needless to say, everything from the brand can truly represent my style.

What is an essential item from Saint Laurent that you cannot leave without and that gives you the most confidence?

Sunglasses, because it is an item I pick up the most from Saint Laurent as it completes my look in an instant. On some days, I might not dress up and put on a full make-up, but when I wear my sunglasses, everything will look perfectly fine. So, that’s why sunglasses are my go-to.

For the Saint Laurent Women’s Winter ’24 show, what did you like the most about the show?

If I had to choose one thing, it would be the see-through dresses. I love how Anthony creates and adds these eye-catching elements to make them look sensational—I’m just in awe and he has the ability to make everyone in the room feel excited. No matter how many looks there are in a collection, I just want to wear them all. I’m really impressed by many of the looks.

Describe the show in one word.

This time, it would be “extreme”. The show was absolutely amazing and impressive.

Apart from acting, what are you currently passionate about? And between modelling and singing, which role do you enjoy the most?

I would say fashion. Since working in fashion, I find myself enjoying it more. Additionally, as I learn and know more about it, it just makes me feel even happier being able to live in these moments. No matter if it is being in front of the camera or behind the scenes, or even attending fashion shows, I enjoy every aspect of this work.

Could you share any upcoming projects for your fans to look forward to?

In middle of the year, I can’t confirm the month yet, but I will appear in the drama series called My Secret Zone with CH3. I will also be updating all my work through Instagram, so please look forward to them.
