KLFW22: Looks We Loved From Day 5

KLFW 2022

The fifth and final day of Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2022 did not disappoint as designers showed up and showed out with their latest and best designs and collections. Looks ranged from classic to contemporary with a touch of avant-garde thrown in for good measure. We were sad to see KLFW 2022 come to a close, but satisfied nevertheless, as we got our fill of fabulous local fashion. We’re definitely counting down the days until KLFW 2023 comes around.

For now, scroll down to see our fifth and final roundup of KLFW 2022 collections that we loved!

Neonate

The theme was ‘Neostalgia’ as the brand drew inspiration from local ‘60s and ‘70s fashion. Think fringe, sequins, denim, knit, tie-dyes, and acid wash with minor updates for a more contemporary feel. A jacket with what we assume is handpainted with the Petronas Twin Towers and a batik trenchcoat were some of the standouts from the collection. This was definitely a show that we very much enjoyed!

Behati

Easily the most exciting show of this year’s KLFW! Behati put on a show that was true to the brand – loud, proud, and unapologetically fabulous! Designs showcased outfits inspired by traditional Malay, Chinese, and Indian garments but with quirky updates to bring them into the 21st Century. To everyone’s delight, there was also a surprise appearance from multi-millionaire Dato’ Sri Vida who was dressed in an elaborate ensemble coloured like the rainbow, making for a truly exciting show.

Mimpikita

The ladies of Mimpikita aimed to give us an otherworldly experience with their Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Relaxed fits in subtle colours shaped the fun and flirty numbers in this collection. We’ve seen some pieces we can’t wait to get our hands on!
