With almost all states reopened (except for four) in the United States and the ease of mask mandates, it looks like ‘Hot Girl Summer’ is on the way to reaching its peak. The BET Awards 2021 that took place earlier this morning (8.00 am MYT) is a true testament to that with celebrities serving bombshell, skin-baring ensembles, bringing sexy to the next level. The event was held at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theatre, hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson, who arrived for duties in an Atelier Versace gown. Read on for some of the best dressed moments of the night.

Her Instagram post, aptly captioned ‘Crazy in Love’, is a shoutout to Beyonce, who wore the same dress at the 2003 BET awards ceremony. While Queen Bey wore a minidress version, Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach kept the Versace Spring/Summer 2003 number in its original form and paired it with purple Stuart Weitzman stilettos as well as yellow Bvlgari diamonds.
