Marc Jacobs chose an unusual location to propose to his boyfriend Charly DeFrancesco – a New York branch of Mexican fast-food favourite Chipotle.
After organising a flashmob dance of Prince’s Kiss in the middle of restaurant, the designer got down on one knee to pop the question. In footage shared by the happy couple, DeFrancesco is seen nodding and saying yes, before the two hug and the crowd cheers.
“And this happened… Charly Defrancesco will you marry me?” wrote Jacobs in the caption. “THANK YOU everyone for making this happen video @plural_nyc @laurengerrie @seandon212 @1.800.newbold And to my Ride or Die fiancé @chardefrancesco I LOVE YOU❤”
In his own post, DeFrancesco, a model and candle-maker, wrote, “Get ready for the all time gag!”
The couple, who are regularly seen at high-profile events together, live in New York’s West Village.
Here’s to hoping Chipotle provides the wedding food.
