The story goes like this: A bag crafted from the supplest of leathers and stitched to emulate Napoleon III chairs, designer by former Dior creative director Gianfranco Ferré, was gifted to Diana, Princess of Wales, by ex-French first lady Bernadette Chirac in 1995. It wasn't until 1996 that the bag was named Lady Dior, in homage to Princess Diana's irreverent style.

She produces her immersive installations through interaction with the spaces in which she exhibits, her creations represent experiences to explore and feel. The American artist transposed the graphic motifs and swirls of her artworks with her fascinating optical effects into her reinterpreted Lady Dior bag.
