Chanel Premieres Métiers d’art “Paris in Rome” 2015/16 Campaign

Kristen Stewart makes a return to the halls of Chanel with the Métiers d’art “Paris in Rome” 2015/16 advertising campaign led by Karl Lagerfeld. Set in a characteristically Parisian backdrop true to spirit of Chanel. Kristen’s beauty look permeates the essence of a French woman with smoky eyes, red lipstick and tousled bob – yet accented with a nonchalant seduction that is Italian by nature.  The “Paris in Rome” 2015/16 collection illuminates the unique savoir-faire of the Métiers d’art and their alliance with Karl Lagerfeld’s creativity.

Kristen plays a persona that is sensual and amorous mirroring an actress from the cinematic reels of old Italy. An intense character with a made-for-film face and look, she exposes one shoulder, is dressed and undressed. Her black and white silhouettes play with contrast, marrying lace with leather or the extravagance of XXL metallic jewellery with the simplicity of a knitted sweater.

The two videos for the classic campaign of “Paris in Rome” 2015/2016 was shot in the brand’s signature black and white auteur style.

Like a theme throughout this collection, lace also frequents a quilted leather pencil skirt coupled with a silk tulle jacket embroidered in sequins and worn seductively with nothing beneath.
