Misha Nonoo launches maternity collection

Misha Nonoo has launched her first maternity collection with Hatch. The range features two designs to be worn before, throughout, and after pregnancy – an oversized shirt and a classic shirt dress.

Nonoo’s capsule range was born after she fell pregnant with her first child last year, helping her to work out what she really wanted from maternity wear. Although US brand Hatch might not be a familiar name to many Brits, the designer felt it was a natural pairing given its emphasis on modern, timeless clothing.

“When you get up in the morning, you already have so much more on your mind as an expecting mother on top of being a businesswoman, so getting dressed doesn’t need to be a pain point,” says Nonoo.

“A glaring problem I saw with the maternity market was the minuscule life span of the clothing,” she says. “Women who keep the clothes they wore during pregnancy seemed like an anomaly. My philosophy has always been to buy better and wear longer, something I felt didn’t need to be compromised just because I am having a baby.

“It was hard to find something elegant and professional that I could wear to the office whilst staying true to my personal style,” she continued. “This collection is all about providing women versatile pieces that can be dressed up and down, before and after baby – not limiting them to a certain occasion or time in their life.”
