Miuccia Prada will be honoured with the Outstanding Achievement award at the Fashion Awards in London next month. The Prada and Miu Miu creative director will be recognised for her outstanding contribution to the global fashion industry, the British Fashion Council has announced.
The designer will be honoured for her creativity and for her ability to successfully turn her family business into a worldwide phenomenon. Previous winners of the coveted accolade include Donatella Versace, Ralph Lauren and Karl Lagerfeld.
“We are thrilled to be honouring Miuccia Prada with the Outstanding Achievement award for being an incredible design maverick and for spearheading the evolution of the Prada group from a family business to a global brand,” Caroline Rush, the CEO of the BFC said today. “We look forward to celebrating with her on the 10 of December alongside industry family and friends.”
The Fashion Awards in partnership with Swarovski will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 10 December, where the biggest stars in British and global fashion will be recognised for their achievements.
