After his 12-year reign at Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci revealed that he will be departing the French fashion house—yet another seismic shift in the realm of French fashion. The announcement last Friday of his exit makes Givenchy’s Autumn/Winter ’17 Menswear and Haute Couture Spring/Summer ’17 his last official collection with the maison. Tisci’s dark and gothic vision for Givenchy has resurrected the house, and made it one of LVMH’s most successful brands during the course of his direction, and his departure will leave many wondering what’s (or who’s) next for Givenchy. As for Tisci himself, rumour has it that he will be appointed as creative director for Versace. Stay tuned!
