Less than one month since being honoured by Harvard University, Rihanna is set to receive yet another collegiate award, this time from Parsons School of Design.
According to The Cut, Rihanna will be honoured at the design school’s annual benefit in New York for her philanthropic work (and of course, her incredible style). The singer, who will be recognized alongside Eileen Fisher and Neiman Marcus, was most recently named Humanitarian of the Year by Harvard.
“Parsons is proud to present Rihanna with this honour, as she has inspired millions through her powerful music and distinct style. She has championed our recent alumni on a number of occasions by wearing their designs. She is also creating important philanthropic programs, which support communities by fostering effective education, health, and emergency response programs around the world through her Clara Lionel Foundation,”Joel Towers, executive dean of Parsons, said in a statement.
Rihanna embellished on her personal connection to Parsons in a statement of her own, “It’s such a thrill to know that a design school as prestigious as Parsons School of Design would present me with this honour. I consistently find creative and exciting designs coming from Parsons alumni, so I feel a deep connection to the school.”
The annual benefit for Parsons School of Design is set to take place in New York on May 22. Here’s to hoping we’re graced with plenty more gif-able moments from the Bad Gal herself again:
